Welcome to my updated Website!!

I have been carving full time since 1983 when I graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with a BFA degree. I am very active in teaching relief carving and watercolor painting throughout the U.S. as well as operating the John Lee Engler and Associates design studio. Through these pages I would like to get you caught up on what I have been doing over the past few months.  I have a number of new pieces which will be shown on my Products page.  

My History page gives the background of the artists and carvers in the Engler family and how they have influenced me and my work.  I specialize in medium relief woodcarving, finishing them off with watercolors. For those interested in taking one of my classes, the information for my schedule of upcoming classes and seminars is on my Seminars page.  The Products page shows all of the blanks available, pre-drawn and ready to carve.  These are also available as finished artwork.
